Rules & regulations
A quiet, family-run campground since 2000. Here's how we keep it that way.
Wishing Star Camping has been family-owned and operated for twenty-five years. These rules exist to keep the grounds clean, calm, and enjoyable for everyone. Thanks for helping us keep Shediac's best-kept secret, well — ours.
Reservations & check-in
- No upfront deposit required, but a credit card must be on file to hold a reservation.
- Full payment is due on arrival.
- Check-in: 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Arriving later? Call ahead — reservations auto-cancel at 7:00 PM without notice.
- Check-out: 11:00 AM.
- Changes or cancellations require 48 hours' notice.
- No-shows are charged a $50 fee.
- No refunds for early departures.
- We do not guarantee a specific site number with your reservation. Should you wish to change sites once you've arrived, you must obtain authorization from the office first.
- Only one RV camping unit is permitted per site. Camping fees include one RV and two registered vehicles.
- Tents are allowed at specific locations in the park.
General policies
- Visitors are welcome but must be registered with a host camper. No visitor fee.
- Quiet hours: 11:00 PM to 9:00 AM. Please be mindful of your neighbours and keep noise to a minimum during these times.
- All garbage must be bagged and placed in the provided bins.
- Speed limit on site: 10 km/h. Please inform all of your guests to respect the speed limit throughout the park.
- Golf carts, ATVs, and side-by-sides are not permitted in the park, except those used by park employees for work purposes or by guests with prior authorization.
- Parents are responsible for supervising children at all times.
- Smoking and vaping (including cannabis) are prohibited in public areas and within 9 m of any building.
- Keep your site and fire pit clean.
- Do not cut, damage, or remove any trees or vegetation.
- Damage to campground property results in charges and immediate expulsion.
- Campfires: keep fires small and contained in the provided fire pit, away from vehicles and structures. No painted, treated, or toxic wood. Fire pits are not movable. Fires must be fully extinguished before you leave the site unattended. Must abide by Fire Watch NB.
- For RV sites with sewer hook-ups, your drain hose must be connected to the sewer by a rubber gasket with clamps and should not be inserted more than 6 inches into the park sewer system. Please do not flush wipes of any kind or any sanitary products — only human waste and toilet paper should be put into the toilet.
- Laundry: please remove clothes promptly so others can use the machines. Comforters and carpets are not allowed to be washed at our laundry facility.
- Pets are allowed in the park under certain conditions: they must be on a leash or in a safe environment in your RV, and under supervision at all times.
- Leashes should not exceed the limits of your site.
- Animals should not disturb neighbours' tranquility and should not be left alone in the RV or outside in your absence.
- Pet owners are responsible for cleaning up all pet waste immediately and for their pet's actions.
- Secure your RV and any valuables, including bikes.
- Chinese lanterns and fireworks are strictly prohibited.
Liability & enforcement
- Disclaimer: Wishing Star Camping does not assume any responsibility for any damage or for any claim brought by a camper or visitor by reason of an accident, a theft, or any other loss that could arise to any client or their property on the park's premises. Guests camp at their own risk.
- Reporting Issues: The comfort and convenience of each client is our commitment. Please do not hesitate to inform management or any staff member of any situation that requires immediate attention.
- Infractions: Any and all infractions to these rules and regulations, and to any and all other rules posted in the park, could lead to the immediate expulsion of the client and their RV from Wishing Star Camping without a refund.
